Specializing in Making Purr-fect Matches

In memoriam...

Fou Baby was brought to Concho Felines when she was 15 yrs old. Her owner moved and left her  and called the animal shelter to pick her up. Concho Felines found out and called the shelter and said they would pick her up.

They relocated her to to their organization where she became a real challenge. Once she trusted again she became very loyal & loving and became a permanent pet.

Fou Baby was wonderful. She loved to snuggle and clean you as she cleaned herself. She was a very unique and affectionate cat.

Fou baby was with us for 2 1/2 years when she was called to Rainbow Bridge.

We miss her terribly and loved her dearly.

Hello,

We had to let our Stevie go to sleep forever as the vet told me she had kidney failure and was dehydrated to the bone and this was why she had lost so much weight. She drank water all the time and would only eat the gravy from her food vet said she was trying to hydrate herself but the kidney would not function properly to allow the water to do what it was supposed to do. Vet also said she had a upper respiratory infection which made the glands in her throat swollen and made it hard for her to breathe. She said we couldn't give her medicine for it as it would give her a heart attack at her age.

I was with her from the very beginning of her little retarded (special needs) life to the very end and she is resting now, one thing I know is that she had a very protected, wonderful, happy, joyous 20 year life! I miss her.

Love to you all,

Linda

A Story of a Street Cat, or Ode to Grandpa

A sad day it was, dear Grandpa, when you said goodbye.
We in our selfish love didn't want to see you die.

Remember when you came to visit, a cat without a place.
But lots of love to give us and a smile upon your face.

Oh, what a heart you had and patience more than I,
You who played with homeless kittens - you gave them love and joy.

Cleaned their sweet faces and shared your meager food,
Even when sometimes they could be a little rude.

Your crippled paws you'd bat them I know it made you sore,
But never never did you raise to them not once a claw.

A home of sorts we built you, old wood, a blanket or two,
But although not much, I know it was a mansion to you.
No more to worry about the rain or crippling storm,
No more worry about the cold-- you had a place to keep you warm.

We made sure of food and water, you had a place for rest,
And you were sure to show us your happy gratefulness.

Then at last an Angel, someone to share that devoted love of yours,
A real home, a vet, someone to tend those shrunken crippled paws.
Someone to hold you close and near and take away the lonely fear.
Someone took away the lonely dark and gave to you a loving heart.

Loving arms did enfold and never more the dark and cold.
All too brief all this bliss, all too brief the loving kiss.

Then too soon you left us, our devoted friend,
St. Peter opened up the gates, "Hey, Grandpa, come on in."
We knew you were leaving, you hadn't been feeling well,
You heard God calling you, "Come on and sit with me a spell."
We'll talk of things in cat life, of mice and trees and string,
And grateful we will be for all the love you bring.

God knows the life you lived, a cat without a home.
He also knows when you went to him, you were not alone.

I'm sure you sit beside St. Peter at those Pearly gates,
Greeting cats and kittens so unsure of their fates.
"Come on in, guys, I'll show you around the place,
And don’t you worry--there's never an empty plate.
Lots of laps to sit on and lots of fire lit grates.
Some owners they are looking for you, so come in and take your place.

We miss you Grandpa. Thank you for your love.

W. Schkade
